Snippet Biography

The new 5 track e.p from Colchester based 'Snippet' (aka Johnno Casson) is a deliciously uplifting blend of left field British pop music with a funky folky twist.

The ltd edition T Shirt e.p is Snippet’s 2nd release and is released through Quirky Sounds (OUT 24 AUG) following last year’s critically acclaimed ‘I’m Peckish’ e.p. and includes 5 tracks with lovely homegrown melodies that really stick with you. Smart electronic noodling underpins the toasty warm vocals and nifty melodic pop. All tracks have been produced by the Netherlands finest- Wim Oudijk.

Snippet is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/musician Johnno Casson; who writes and sings the songs, plays most of the instruments and makes a decent cup of tea too. Johnno has been in a number of bands in the past; most notably with the band Deep Joy. Snippet’s debut 4 track e.p ‘I’m Peckish’ was released in 2008 on Steal my Oil records.

Versions of the Snippet song ’Just to let u know’ appear on the *Love* album from the talented Dutch artist/producer Wim Oudijk and on the ‘Around the world with My Little Pony Vol.1’ album from ace Norwegian band My Little Pony. The original of the Snippet song ‘Lovely Ugly People’ is included on the spring 2009 compilation ‘Birdsongs,Beesongs’ from those lovely people at Eardrums music.  Snippet is currently working on brand new tracks for a debut album release.
